For a truly memorable Balfour experience, join one of our knowledge Balfour Ambassador’s and discover how Hush Heath Estate transitioned from a traditional pasture of arable land to beautifully maintained vineyards, orchards and ancient oak woodlands. Learn about the history of the Estate and the secrets of English viticulture whilst exploring our 400 acre Estate.
This walk will take around an hour and upon your return, you will be shown to our private Mezzanine level in the tasting room where you will be immersed into the world of winemaking as our Head Winemaker, Fergus Elias, talks you through the process of grape to glass in our short film (Mon-Wed) .
On a Saturday or Sunday the Full Estate Tour and Tasting will visit our state-of-the-art Winery where you will be guided around our incredible facility showing winemaking and production techniques used for our still and sparkling wines.
This will be followed by a tutored tasting of 3 Balfour wines, Jake’s beers or ciders.
Please note that the film and tasting part of the tour will be held in our upstairs mezzanine level which is only accessible via stairs. If you have specific access requirements, please contact us at least 24 hours in advance on 01622 832794.

Your day begins with a private transfer from Marden train station (if required). Looked after for the day by one of our Balfour Ambassadors who will be your personal guide during your visit.
Upon arrival at the winery, enjoy a glass of our Signature Balfour Brut Rosé on our upstairs terrace overlooking Nannette’s vineyard.
Our Balfour Ambassador will show you hidden areas of the Estate not available on other tours and provide you with an in-depth insight into our viticulture practices, our woodland and wildflower conservation programme and the wonderful wildlife and nature that live on our 400-acre Estate, creating our own ecosystem with vast biodiversity.
After the tour you will visit our state-of-the-art Winery where you will be given a comprehensive overview of the winemaking and production techniques used for our still and sparkling wines. This will be followed by a tutored tasting, in our owner’s private tasting room, of 6 Balfour wines including new release and limited-edition wines.
Following your tutored tasting, relax and enjoy a delicious, seasonal three course lunch expertly prepared by our resident chef. Each course will be paired with a glass of wine specially selected by our Head Winemaker, Fergus Elias.
At the end of your afternoon, a private transfer will take you back to Marden train station.

Pick up a map from our Cellar Door and explore our picturesque 400 acre Estate at your own pace. Stroll through the Estate visiting our beautiful vineyards, apple orchards, wild flower meadows and ancient oak woodlands. Enjoy the tranquillity and become absorbed in the flora and fauna of the beautiful Kent Countryside.
Upon returning to our tasting room and spacious outside terrace, sample 3 of our Balfour wines for £5 per person which is redeemable on any purchase over £20 from our retail shop.

Finally, enjoy a tutored tasting of 6 Balfour wines, Jake’s ciders or beers.
Enjoying our delicious platters of fresh, locally sourced produce whilst relaxing in our tasting room “The View” is part of this Winter experience; these are served at the beginning of the afternoon tour or at the end of the morning tour.
