We are proud to announce that our newest release, The Red Miller has been awarded a gold medal by the International Wine Challenge (IWC). This is the first time in the competition’s 36 year history that an English Red wine has received this prestigious accolade.
The IWC is accepted as the World’s most rigorous, impartial and influential wine competition, with each wine being assessed ‘blind’ by a team of over 200 of the World’s top wine experts.
The limited-edition red is made with 100% Pinot Meunier- a grape rarely seen as the sole component within a still red wine, and was produced by Owen Elias for our Winemaker’s Collection.
IWC competition director Chris Ashton says “We’re thrilled to be able to award England its first IWC Gold medal for a red wine. England has been gaining attention for its sparkling wines for some time, so it’s great to see a broader range of wines on the radar.”
