We are proud to announce that our The Red Miller has been awarded not one but two trophies at the International Wine Challenge 2020 (IWC) awards.
The International Wine Challenge, is accepted as the World’s most influential and rigorously judged wine competition. For the 2020 awards they have announced their 30 best wines from around the world. Winners from 14 countries were named the top wines having proven themselves to be the absolute finest in their categories following an intensive blind-tasting by the International Wine Challenge co-chairs, a group of six of the very best wine tasters in the world.
The IWC awarded The Red Miller the National English Red Trophy- this is the first time in the competition’s 36 year history that an English Red wine has received this prestigious accolade.
They also awarded The Red Miller an IWC Special Award- The James Rogers Trophy, which is awarded to the best wine in the first year of its production.
Leslie Balfour-Lynn – co founder Balfour Wines at Hush Heath Estate said of the Trophy wins “Our limited edition collection, of Winemaker Wines celebrating our team’s winemaking skills in producing exceptional quality small one off parcels of exciting , innovative wines combined with brilliant art on the labels makes me very proud of everyone involved in growing and producing our Balfour Wines here at the Hush Heath Estate”.
