The Red Miller 2018

£40.00

As unique as it is special. The Red Miller became the first English red wine ever to win a gold medal at the prestigious International Wine Challenge and at the same competition also picked up two further trophies. Part of our original Winemaker Collection, with labels designed by British artist Keith Coventry, The Red Miller is made exclusively from a single parcel of Pinot Meunier, usually the quiet partner in classic sparkling blends, but here made into a complex and elegant red wine. An intriguing smokey nose of mulberry and cherry, followed by a palate of raspberry, redcurrant and spice with soft smooth tannins.

Alcohol – 12%

Grape Varieties: 100% Pinot Meunier

Alcohol: 12%

Reviews

“We’re thrilled to be able to award England its first IWC Gold medal for a red wine. England has been gaining attention for its sparkling wines for some time, so it’s great to see a broader range of wines on the radar.”

Chris Ashton- IWC competition director

Red Miller is…..Exquisitely sketched and framed with the power and delicacy of Japanese Edo artworks. If Brexit means we have to drink more wines like this, I could come round
