The weather for the last few weeks has been glorious, and whilst we wouldn't want to second guess the harvest so soon, it is standing us in great stead.
Flowering was a great deal swifter than 2012, and the vines are progressing well. Stefan and his team are currently busy de-leafing our vines. This means we remove a couple of leaves from each shoot. The benefits are that it will expose the bunches to more direct sunlight thus helping them along to ripeness. It also helps alleviate the risk of disease as the air can flow through the vine and humidity around the grapes will decrease.
Please do come and take a walk amongst our vineyards and see how the vines are progressing, or if you want to come and help us de-leaf you are very welcome too!
